Game Makers Iceland presents the first-ever Reykjavík Game Summit - a full-day event curated for Iceland’s professional game development community. Designed for game designers, narrative designers, developers, and creative leaders, the summit offers an opportunity to learn from industry experts, exchange ideas, and build connections with peers.
We’re bringing together international voices and local talent for a day of talks, insights, and inspiration - celebrating creativity and collaboration in game development.

Ari Arnbjörnsson
Senior Software Engineer, Technical Developer Relations, Epic Games
Ari began his game development career at Icelandic game studio Gogogic, and has since then held roles at Rovio, Housemarque and for the past several years at Epic Games, working in Developer Relations. Ari has also put his energy into fostering community, being the main organizer of the Games Helsinki conference for the past 7 years.
Greg Hennessey
Game Design Director, CCP Games
Greg is the Game Design Director of EVE Online and has been designing games for 23 years on a range of titles from open world action games to racing games and RPGs at studios such as Radical Entertainment, Bluebat Games, Phoenix Labs, and Timbre Games. Greg has a huge passion for supporting collaborative teams and sharing his experiences in an effort to help others with their personal growth.
Harry Krueger
Creative Director, Returnal Game Director
Harry Krueger played a key part in defining Finnish studio Housemarque’s creative identity, and worked on award-winning titles such as Outland, Resogun and Nex Machina.
Most notably, Harry acted as Game Director for the roguelike shooter Returnal, which went on to receive widespread critical acclaim and multiple awards (including 4 BAFTAs).
Johan Pilestedt Chief Creative Officer, Arrowhead Game Studios, Helldivers 2 Creative Director Johan co-founded Arrowhead Game Studios in 2009, and has since then been a creative leader at the studio through the making of award-winning titles such as Magicka, Gauntlet, and the Helldivers series. He served as CEO for over a decade alongside his creative leadership role, and now continues as Arrowhead’s Chief Creative Officer.
Kim Cosmo Ström / That Other Fish
Independent Game Developer
Kim Ström is an independent game developer, also known by the name That Other Fish. Along with his partner in crime, That Fish, he released The Greatest Penguin Heist of All Time into early access in 2021, and is currently working on a follow-up, while continuing to update the game.
He has also been a pillar of the Game Makers Iceland community for years. Most notably, he has taken home first prize in more than one GMI Game Jam.
Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir
Founding Partner, Behold Ventures
Sigurlína has long been a prominent name in the Icelandic games industry. She began her career as a Producer at CCP Games before moving abroad to take on senior production roles on major international titles, including The Division, Star Wars Battlefront, and FIFA. She is a founding partner of the game investment fund Behold Ventures and has served on the boards of several Icelandic game companies, helping shape the future of the local industry.
Steingerður Lóa Gunnarsdóttir
Game Designer & Educator Lóa is an Adjunct Instructor at Reykjavík University, co-founder of indie studio Tasty Rook, co-founder and Art Director at Studio Wumpus. She has over a decade of game design experience across both digital and physical games. She holds an MFA in Game Design from NYU and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Iceland.
She is a passionate game jam organizer who champions teamwork, creativity, and thinking outside the box for game jams.
Winter Mullenix Lead Narrative Designer, CCP Games Winter Mullenix has more than two decades of experience in writing and building immersive experiences across various mediums and IPs, including Neverwinter Online, Star Trek Online, Magic: Legends, Fae Farm, and more.
Prior to moving to Iceland and taking the role of Lead Narrative Designer for EVE Online at CCP Games, she served as Narrative Director at Cryptic Studios.
