Who we are

Game Makers Iceland is the heart of the Icelandic game development scene, dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse community. Established as an independent organization in 2018, our roots go back to 2016 within the Icelandic Game Industry (IGI). We have since grown into a vibrant hub for both aspiring and seasoned game developers. The Game Makers Iceland team consists of Alexandra Diljá Bjargardóttir, Haukur Steinn Logason and Ingólfur Halldórsson. Learn more on the About page.

What we do

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including monthly meet-ups, game jams, workshops, studio visits, and networking opportunities. Our community thrives both offline and online, with an active presence on our official Slack workspace, connecting over 800 members from commercial, indie, art, and academic backgrounds.
